Our History

Bijouterie Fernand Turcotte was established more than 50 years ago. Its first location was at 88 King Street West in Sherbrooke. The building that once housed the store has since been demolished. This was the time when Wellington Street was "the Main", when the "5-10-15", haberdasheries, shoe merchants and other businesses lined the street all the way up to Frontenac Street. Back at the Jewelry store, business got off to a slow start but, one customer at a time, the store is able to build its reputation and a solid client base through a unique selection of products accompanied by outstanding service. Back then, we sold jewelry, of course, but also fine china, glassware and ceramic and wooden goods.

We have since veered away from fine china and glassware in order to focus on jewelry and watches and moved to 1 Wellington Street North, in a smaller space left vacant by the Laura Secord chocolate company in 1982. We kept on providing excellent service to our clients from this outpost for twenty years before moving to our current location at 2309 King Street West.
